Studio Owner / Producer / Head Engineer
Sonic Architect & Studio Innovator
Simovich’s expertise is deeply rooted in his mastery of analog synthesizers and drum machines, complemented by a hybrid recording process that fuses reel-to-reel tape with modern digital workflows. At the heart of his Los Angeles-based Infinite Power Studios is a meticulously curated signal chain, now powered by a Neve 8424 console as well as a full Synclavier PSMT system—bringing iconic large-format analog sound together with one of the most powerful digital synthesis and sampling environments ever developed.
His studio is a creative sanctuary for artists seeking a unique sonic fingerprint, with his approach often described as cinematic, textural, and both physically and emotionally immersive.
Collaborations & Musical Ventures
Simovich’s production credits span a wide spectrum of underground and influential electronic music. He collaborated with Peter Baumann (Tangerine Dream) on the album Machines of Desire, co-producing and co-writing compositions that fuse symphonic landscapes with electronic sequences. His mixing and production on Boy Harsher’s Machina brought a classic yet cinematic edge to the project’s dystopian pop aesthetic.
Simovich has become a key creative force behind the rise of Madeline Goldstein, whose haunting vocal-driven synth pop has garnered widespread critical acclaim. His production work has been central to crafting her distinct, emotionally resonant sound—balancing melancholic atmospheres with punchy, dancefloor-ready arrangements.
He has also co-written with Patriarchy, contributing to the band’s provocative and visceral sonic identity that blends industrial pop with his signature rhythm section. His work with Nitzer Ebb, pioneers of EBM, further underscores his deep roots and ongoing presence in the evolution of electronic body music.
Simovich’s earlier standout productions include debut LPs for SRSQ and Riki on Dais Records, as well as mixing and production on Body of Light’s Time to Kill, which charted on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums. Across these projects, he continues to demonstrate a singular ability to elevate an artist’s vision while imprinting his signature depth, texture, and sonic precision.
Conceptual Approach & Musical Philosophy
Simovich’s creative ethos is as intellectually rigorous as it is emotionally raw. Drawing on post-structuralist theory and his Slavic roots, he crafts each record around a strong conceptual framework. This disciplined yet fluid process allows his productions to transcend genre—becoming narrative-driven soundscapes that resonate on multiple levels.
Simovich is also the founding member of INHALT, a project rooted in European body music, synthpop, and minimal electronics. Originally releasing on Dark Entries Records and known for live performances supporting acts like Skinny Puppy, Front 242, and Clock DVA. Described by one listener as “Giorgio Moroder producing D.A.F.,” the group’s rhythmic, German-inflected sound continues to evolve under Simovich’s direction—bridging genre tradition with his modern production finesse.
Sound Design & Instrument Innovation
As a respected sound designer, Simovich has contributed factory patch banks and helped develop revered synthesizers for Sequential and Oberheim including the Prophet-5, Prophet-10, and OB-X8—instruments whose legacy he both honors and redefines. His work with Roland, Akai Professional, Elektron, Pioneer DJ and Softube amongst many others has not only influenced user experiences but helped bridge the gap between timeless sounds and modern flexibility in music technology.
More than a producer, Simovich builds deeply immersive works that resonate far beyond the studio. In an era where electronic music often flirts with homogeny, his work remains a beacon of depth, discipline, and innovation. Whether sculpting synth tones from scratch or programming a whole song into a vintage sequencer, Simovich continues to redefine what electronic music can be in the 21st century.
